Products
Tekron Communication offers a complete line of automatic switching products and
solutions, designed for analog & digital TV channel, and RF Broadband transport
feed redundancy in disaster recovery applications. They are also designed to address
access channel, community and PEG channel switching and automation, and to address
channel Black-out and Duplication switching applications.
Tekron RSS automatic switching products are offered with optional remote scheduling
capabilities over IP-Networks. They are designed, as covered in more details by
category and/or application from the URL links above, to monitor a feed or channel
for automatic switching to the backup on signal degradation below Threshold setting
and automatic return, with remote monitor alarm and switch control capabilities
over IP Networks.
The RSS automatic switching stations are typically installed at remote CATV Headend
& Hub sites for the redundancy of digital TV channel Video, Audio & ASI feeds or
CATV & L-Band Broadband feeds, received over Fiber or Satellite, or for the redundancy
of RF-Broadband amplifiers and split-Band fiber feeds. Tekron RSS automatic switching
products are available with remote IP monitor/alarm and control capabilities for:
- TV channel automatic switchover in at IF & RF frequencies
- RF-Broadband CATV & L-Band feed automatic switchover
- Video-audio & 4.5-audio automatic switchover, c/w optional Color Bar generator
- Digital TV channel "Video Freeze-Frame" detection & substitution switch

CATV Headend Channel, Switching and Equipment Control with Tekron MX Products
In addition to its RSS automatic switching products, Tekron also manufactures and
provides solutions for scheduled and controlled matrix switching applications. Its
large matrix software application can schedule and control for example up to 128X128
configuration matrix. The MX switching products are designed for CATV Headend channel
substitution applications, such as Black-out and Syndex duplication switching.
It also offers a solution for remote DTMF-tone & Web-based control of a 16X1 scalable
Return-Path and CATV Band switching system, with capability for expansion to 256X1
switch configuration.
