A complete system solution is offered with the MX products for channel scheduled & remote controlled switching in Headends and Hub sites. The system includes SMC (Windows/PC) software. It can be configured with the following applications:

The SMC components can be used individually to address specific applications, as well as being integrated for complete automation & management of the Headend. The modularity of the SMC system is intended to give the operator a greater flexibility in satisfying current requirements with the expansion capability to respond to future and unforeseen needs.

REMOTE SITE EQUIPMENT AC POWER RESET & CONTROL

Tekron AC Power and Contact Closure Control systems are designed for use in remote Headend & Hub sites to reset satellite Digital Receivers or Network Servers to re-initialize them when they lock-up, to control Network & Headend equipment at the site.

The system is scalable & modular to adapt to changing needs at the site, and to allow switch modules to be located close to the equipment it controls in a large site. The system has been designed with the CATV environment in mind. In addition to remote computer control, the site equipment can be controlled from any touch-tone telephone in emergency with access protection. Depending on the application, several versions can be offered:

SIGNAL MONITORING OF BROADCAST TRANSMISSION SITES

Site Monitoring and Control …… RMS Products

The RMS products are designed to monitor a Broadcast Transmitter output channel as well as the video & audio feeds at the transmitter input. The RMS monitor station can interface with any existing status monitoring system at the transmission site. It can also be supplied for a complete system solution to small transmission site monitor & Control applications. In this version, the RMS monitor station has dial-out & alarm capability, as well monitor/control contact points for a complete transmission site monitoring & control. The RMS station are designed to monitor:

• TV Transmitters with selectable input in the VHF & UHF band
• FM (Mono & Stereo) Transmitters with selectable input in the FM band
• AM Stereo Transmitters with selectable input in the AM band

Automatic Redundancy Switching ..…. RSS Products

The RSS products are designed to monitor a feed automatically switch to a backup one on signal loss. They are used to provide Redundancy to Video & Audio feeds received from the studio at the transmission site, automatic switchover of TV/FM channels, or to provide alternate programming at an Up-link site. They are offered for:

• TV channel automatic switchover in VHF & UHF band
• Video/audio automatic switchover with a third Color Bar generator input
• Stereo Audio automatic switchover with a third tone generator input
• Color Bar detection & substitution switch
