Tekron Communication manufactures products and systems intended for remote site TV/FM signal Management. It is mainly focussed on providing solutions to “Switching Monitoring & Control” applications in remote CATV Headends, as well as Broadcast transmission sites.

Tekron Communication has developed products & systems for the following applications:

Scheduled & Controlled Signal switching:

Our S.M.C. system is currently used by the CATV industry for “Channel Program Substitution”, “Headend Maintenance”, and “Emergency Messaging” switching applications. We offer systems for IF frequency, video/audio, or contact closure switching. The SMC system scheduling & control (PC/Windows) station, is configurable to control:

• Multiple Matrix chassis with expansion capability to (128) Headend channel substitution.
• Single-rack channel switching units used to address more modest applications, but stackable to increase the switching capability of the system in the field at any time.
• Relay contact closure units with (16) Contact outputs, or expandable (144) contact closure units.

Monitoring & Automatic Signal (Redundancy) Switching:

The main function of these products is to monitor a particular signal and automatically switch to a back-up signal on drop or loss of the main input. The RSS (Redundancy Sensing Switch) products are currently offered to monitor (CATV) RF Trunk or Return-Path feeds, TV or FM channel (peak-carrier level), Video (sync. Level), audio level, satellite L-Band, and contact closure points in remote sites.

Remote site Monitoring & Control:

The RMS Remote Monitor Systems are designed to:

1) Monitor remote CATV Headends TV channels carrier levels & video modulation presence, AC power presence, and Contact closure.
2) Monitor remote TV & FM transmission site RF carrier levels and Vide/Audio presence
3) Control of equipment in remote sites from a central PC/Windows control station or from a touch-tone telephone. Products are available for relay contact closure or AC power reset.
